Hi! My name is Ela Aspegren, and I am a high school student living in New York City. I started this lifestyle blog in 2023 as a way to spread my love for literature and ballet, and my blog’s ultimate mission is to inspire and drive the creativity of others through my shared poems, stories, and experiences. I find my inspiration from the people, places, and activities that are most important to me, principally being my family, Turkish nationality, and ballet training.
My country and family have always embraced me with warmth and kindness, and if it were not for this love, I believe my writing would lack the same passion and intentionality that guides me. My family has always taught me to be thoughtful in my words and movements; learnings which I always hold onto and carry into my writing and literary blog.
Ballet has always held a very special place in my life as I’ve never known a life without it. Through my intense ballet training, I have not only learned classical technique, but discipline, purpose, and grace, principles that lead every division of my life.
As Dante Alighieri once said,
“My course is set for an uncharted sea.”
I believe that every choice and journey is up to fate, but I hope in each of my readers’ lives, my pieces can direct or redirect someone onto a path that they will soon set sail on.
